PREVIEW LAWNFEST DESIGNS

The Rag Club will be at Lawnfest 2010 showing how to make embellishments and customize T-shirts. We asked Tania's 8-year-old daughter Mimi and her best friend Lucy to help us come up with some ideas for the event.

And here are some of the results...

Thank you Mimi and Lucy... x

LAWNFEST 2010

The Rag Club will be at Lawnfest 2010. Come along to the kid's area and we'll help you customize Lawnfest T-shirts using rags, ribbons, buttons and all the other reclaimed materials we love to work with. You buy the T-shirt, we provide the rest. All money raised goes to West Heath 2000 charity, an incredible school that works with children with a wide range of difficulties. For more info visit http://www.westheath.kent.sch.uk/

We've just started making our bunting for Lawnfest Festival. All made from old fabric, bottle tops, buttons and Ella's Organic smoothie lids [thank you to Gilly's son Ferris for slurping his way through so many so we can use the old lids]!

Club Rules:

* We don’t believe in throwaway fashion, but in reincarnating old clothes into something new
* We teach your 7-12 year olds how to recycle clothes creatively and teach basic dressmaking skills
* We work with second-hand materials and bits of junk
* We aim to show kids how they can do their bit to dress more green
